Flood of Hope~ Nothing quite compares
to the beauty of the rain
that crowns me in hope
and carries me away
into another world
where I feel so free
from this broken land
and haunted jubilees.
In the dreary night,
I can hear them sing
of the trifling rain
that this nature brings
and it makes me mad
knowing that they rebuke
this lovely thing called rain
that serves as my refuge.
Under it's healing touch,
my soul is at eternal ease.
Scars of shame disappear
like black holes in the galaxy.
Since my darkness fell
to the power of the rain,
everything is brighter within
and I've never been the same. ~

Home I look at the stars each night and yearn for them. My heart bleeds a homesick sorrow as I gaze up at the star, the sun my home orbits, and each night I think of home, I think of the family I abandoned, I think of everything I have lost.

Where there were once three moons tainted with sweet shades of green, blue and yellow, now lie three dead, lifeless ones, judging all below them on our earth. Once there were mountains stretching high up into the skies which were splattered a hot crimson, there were domes of light and greenery huddled close to catch all they could, there were towers of homes stacked precariously upon one another laced throu

Everyone is too wrapped in their own lives to even care about yours.

But what they fail to remember is that this earth is only the first of many floors.

Tears cascade, smiles appear and fade while the universe continues to ignore,

As they impatiently knock and wait outside life's man made divisible door.

So when they become to self involved in the successes of their own cause.

StayTattered clips of sunny smiles
strewn about throughout the aisles,
tipped and spilled to much dismay
those memories of yesterday.
Volunteered upon this path
oblivious to the aftermath,
the possibility it seemed
of failure was an absurd dream.
Torn from the ground we built upon
moonlight burned the summer song,
undermined the very heart
of the bedrock where we saw it start.
Winter caused the soul to say
an audible wish for a different day,
Without the strength to go away
it's come to this so here we stay.

Red rose with tenacity
Unfurled petals overnight.

Old SellswordThe rattling of his bones,
Enclosed in timeworn, calloused skin
Reminded him of past youth,
And his senseless exploits of sin.

Before he held a sword, and
The King’s emblem upon his breast
He was a poorly country boy,
Craving opulence to manifest.

Once held up high, now faceless,
Wandering aimlessly alone
Fighting an aging body,
He greets each movement with a groan.

He has become a sellsword,
Consumed by limitless treasures
Turning on several Kingdoms,
To simply engulf life’s pleasures.

Fleeting Kingdoms, far and wide,
Embracing others is no choice
Instead he passes by them,
Until hearing her velvet voice.

Everything becomes so much more dark and sinister whenever you are alone.
You're constantly on guard and overcautious just to answer your mobile phone.
Any slight disturbance or eerie creak and you begin to panic.
Retreating back into your secure settee conjuring up the most dramatic
Scenarios that have virtually no possibility of ever occurring.
But that never seems to stop the cogs from continuously turning.
You fasten all the windows and arm yourself with kitchen based artillery.
And man your position surveying the living room as if you were a member of the military.

FANFIC ADDENDUM TO CHAPTER 9ON FINDING THE HEADLESS BODY OF BAXTER PIERCE

Chapter 9 found the human female bounty hunter, Baxter Pierce, attempting to capture King Ru'Athari (roo-A[TH]-ah-[R]dEE), the elf formerly known as Prince Nuada. Having been transported to Birmagast, the land ruled by the Silver Lance, by the sister of the late King Balor, Lanïany (LAH-n[i]-AH-nee), Pierce, armed with a .357 revolver, confronts the King and is beheaded. He orders her remains and weapon transported back to earth.

Farewell, oh precious little children.
Our hearts are filled with grief.
You leave behind the love of a nation,
And lives that, to us, were too brief.

Perhaps the powers that be understand
Why you were called home so soon.
But we mere mortals cannot conceive
How you danced away to a mad man's tune.

Our tears have stained the world this day,
And our heads are bent in prayer
For loved ones who'll miss you most of all,
For your loss is a lifetime burden to bear.
